About

Who are we?

Rams Heritage Trust was conceived in late 2019 as a result of a series of collaborations during the Club, City, Community exhibition at Gallery 5 in Derby Guildhall. A number of people involved in the project in some way, whether through loaning memorabilia, hosting and planning the exhibition, or assisting in making materials, decided that forming a charitable trust for the group to continue to work together and deliver successful projects was the way forward. This group of trustees went onto form Rams Heritage Trust officially after the end of the exhibition.

The board has a wide variety of expertise ranging from heritage and museum operations, education, finance, fundraising and community work. In addition to this, we are all avid Derby County fans and memorabilia enthusiasts. It seemed fitting to pool all of the resources and experience together to promote and preserve Derby County heritage for generations of future supporters.

Our mission was simple:

  • To promote Derby County heritage through exhibitions, events and projects
  • To increase supporter engagement with DCFC history through educational resources and interactive activities
  • To support skills development through learning and volunteering opportunities
  • To strengthen links between sporting heritage and disadvantaged groups in society
